Schubert live at the PACK EXPO Connects virtual US trade fair

Schubert will take visitors on a virtual tour of the company’s international headquarters in Crailsheim, Germany, as well as its North American headquarters in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Schubert opted for the PACK EXPO Connects virtual trade fair format to present its latest technological developments in North America. With six different live demos, the frontrunner in packaging technology will be showcasing solutions to the challenges currently facing manufacturers of fast-moving consumer goods – between November 9 and 13, 2020. Visitors to the fair will be given virtual impressions of Schubert’s main plant in Germany and its North American regional headquarters in Charlotte, North Carolina. A highlight of the trade fair is the presentation of a compact cartoner from the lightline series, which was designed and built for a US customer.

Live demonstrations of the lightline Cartonpacker, 3D format parts and other highlights

In the context of the PACK EXPO Connects virtual trade fair, Schubert will be presenting a large number of innovations to the American market. The company has once again prepared a trade fair program that addresses current requirements of the North American packaging industry such as high flexibility, availability and fast market introductions. In addition to Schubert’s lightline Cartonpacker , its fully integrated Flowpacker will also be presented at the virtual trade fair. As a further highlight, the exhibitor will show how manufacturing companies of all kinds will be able to produce their own format parts themselves in the future – on site and in no time at all using 3D printing. Manufacturers of pharmaceuticals will be provided with insights into the secondary packaging of vaccines by two experts from the Schubert-Pharma division, Senior Sales Manager Todd Shewmaker and Senior Key Account Manager Carsten Peters.

Live presentation of the preconfigured lightline cartonpacker

One of the focal points will be Schubert’s lightline Cartonpacker , which will be shown live for the first time at an American trade fair. The cartoner to be exhibited was designed for an American customer. Stefan Hoffmann, the responsible Sales Account Manager, will demonstrate all the features of the compact and extremely space-saving system, and will also show spectators the company’s headquarters in Crailsheim: “This new exhibition format is a great opportunity to take our customers on a virtual tour of our production facility in Germany. It's not only about presenting the customer fully assembled machines, it's also about showing the overall picture: Where is the machine built, by whom and how is it shipped to the USA following a successful FAT? This and much more awaits viewers of the live demo “A preconfigured case packer: Immediately ready for use”, explains Stefan Hoffmann.

Customer success thanks to transparency, training and teamwork

Virtual trade fairs require a high degree of authenticity to convey to visitors the trust that is created at conventional trade fairs through personal encounters. This is why it is especially important for Schubert to not only present the latest technologies, but also to offer a look behind the scenes. Aaron Beaulieu, Field Service Technician at Schubert North America, will be offering viewers a virtual tour of the North American customer training center in Charlotte, North Carolina. In his live demo One system fits all: How Schubert empowers its customers with transparency, training and teamwork, the participants will also learn more details about Schubert’s system platform. They will find out how a trained machine operator can control any Schubert system and what to expect in their production before, during and after the SAT. “On site at the customer’s premises, it is important that the customer solves the problem together with me so that they can easily do the work themselves next time,” explains Aaron Beaulieu.

For schubert, PACK EXPO is the most important exhibition in North America

For more than ten years, the PACK EXPO trade fairs organized by PMMI (Packaging Machinery Manufacturers Institute) in Chicago and Las Vegas have been the most important platforms for Schubert to present innovations to the North American market and to exchange ideas with customers, potential customers and industry peers. “When talking about trade shows that are relevant to the industry, the PACK EXPO is the most important trade show on the North American continent for us. As an exhibitor we can look forward to a successful trade fair year after year. We know what to expect, the visitors know what to expect, and at the end of the fair, it has always been a success for both sides,” explains Hartmut Siegel, CEO of Schubert North America. “It soon became clear that a face-to-face event would not be possible this year. Instead, PMMI came up with a new format: getting together virtually at PACK EXPO Connects. This is a first for Schubert, as it is for many others, and we are convinced that the virtual trade fair will represent another great PACK EXPO show.”

All Schubert demos will be presented personally by Schubert employees – the experts Schubert customers can always count on. The North American team is looking forward to many conversations with well-known customers, partners and friends – and above all to meeting new faces in the industry.

Schubert at Automation UK 2024

Last year, Automation UK took place for the first time in Coventry, England. As a result of its resounding success, the trade fair for automation and robotics is now entering its second round – and will be taking place this year on 18 and 19 June. Schubert UK Ltd will, of course, be participating once again. Schubert’s UK sales location was not only an exhibitor last year, but it is also a co-founder of Automation UK. In the CBS Arena at Stand F10, the British team, led by Mark Stepney, will be providing information on the Germany-based company’s latest highly flexible, efficient, and resource-saving solutions for packaging products of all kinds and from all sectors. This year, visitors to the Schubert stand will have an opportunity to view a tog.519 cobot live and in action. At Automation UK, the mobile robot will be demonstrating how it can pick & place unsorted products at speeds of up to 90 cycles per minute using the AI-supported vision system.

Schubert-Pharma at the ACHEMA 2024

This year, ACHEMA will be held in Frankfurt from 10 to 14 June 2024. Schubert-Pharma will have its own stand at the 34th leading international trade fair for the process industry in Hall 3.1, Stand A95. For the first time, the packaging expert will be presenting its new machine for packaging vials. What’s unique about the innovation is that this top-loading machine features a table-top design, unlike Schubert-Pharma’s open top loaders. This makes it even easier for pharmaceutical customers to guarantee the required line clearance.

Information on a number of topics, such as the company’s collaboration with Faller Packaging, will also be available at the exhibition stand. As always, visitors will have an opportunity to receive advice from Schubert-Pharma on all aspects of automated pharmaceutical packaging solutions. Experts from Faller Packaging will be on site to answer any questions relating to packaging materials.
