Schubert will be exhibiting its latest technical advancements for the packaging industry at Pack Expo Las Vegas. The highlight will be the presentation of Schubert’s new TLM Cartoner with Comfort Feeder, at Booth 7654.This is an extremely compact, efficient, resource-saving solution to automate the infeed of carton blanks to the packaging machine. Beyond this, Schubert Pharma will once again be presenting its expertise in pharmaceutical packaging at Booth 6820 in the Healthcare Pavilion.

After being removed from the blank sheet, the flat blanks are placed directly into the A6 erecting unit’s magazine and erected in a single lane at a rate of 60 cycles per minute.

During this year’s Pack Expo Las Vegas, September 11-13, Schubert is looking forward to celebrating its continued growth in North America.Together with its customers, suppliers and industry friends, the leader in Top Loading Packaging Machinery will celebrate the 25th anniversary of Schubert North America, the North American entity of the Schubert group, at booth 7654 in the South Upper Hall. This year’s show highlight will be the introduction of the new TLM cartoning machine with Comfort Feeder to the North American market. Another emphasis will be put on customer service as Schubert will present its multitude of services to deliver forward-looking packaging solutions. Schubert’s vision for the future is also reflected in the company’s Mission Blue sustainability initiative. Defined sustainability goals which are gradually becoming tangible measures within the company itself, as well as in the consulting and services provided to Schubert customers will be demonstrated at the show booth. With the additional booth 6820 in the Healthcare Pavilion, Schubert-Pharma will present how pharmaceutical manufacturers benefit from fully automated, highly efficient packaging solutions in a single packaging line, with Schubert’s robot-assisted digital top-loading machines. The machine module on exhibit at booth 6820 will demonstrate the loading of vials into cartons by a pick and place robot.

A bar packer with new infeed: Blanks fed directly from the pallet

With the TLM Comfort Feeder, Schubert has developed a new, compact solution to automate the infeed of carton blanks to the packaging machine. The underlying idea is a slim, high-performance machine concept in the smallest possible space, which saves manufacturers money and reduces the workload on production staff.

Two loaded cartons are sealed simultaneously by an F2 robot and transferred to the outfeed conveyor.

When the carton blank magazine runs empty, machine operators need to react quickly to avoid unnecessary interruptions. With the new Schubert TLM Comfort Feeder, this is now a thing of the past, as can be seen on the bar packer at the trade show. All it takes is to place the entire pallet with the blanks – still in the blank sheet – into the machine. An F4 robot then pulls the blanks one by one directly from the sheet and feeds them into the erecting process at a rate of 60 cycles per minute. This process also has another advantage: The sheet cutting process can be optimized to maximize packaging material utilization – saving material, resources, and costs. The combination of a new type of sheet infeed, high erecting capacity, and loading and sealing in a small space offers Schubert customers an exceptionally attractive machine concept. The new TLM Cartoner with Comfort Feeder will be exhibited at booth 7654 in the South Upper Hall.

Schubert North America kicks-off its 25-year anniversary celebrations at Pack Expo Las Vegas

Schubert North America celebrates its 25th company anniversary during Pack Expo Las Vegas, on September 12, 2023. Starting at 4:00 pm, show attendees are invited to celebrate 25 years of continued success, together with Schubert and its North American team. Traditional German refreshments and appetizers will be offered to all who join the festivities at booth 7654 in the South Upper Hall. 25 years ago, the Schubert family opened its first North American entity in Dallas, Texas. The opening of a Canadian entity followed in subsequent years. In 2015, Schubert’s North American headquarters was established in Charlotte, NC. Due to its continued growth in North America, Schubert recently acquired 7 acres of land in Charlotte, NC to expand its North American headquarters even further. The new headquarters building, which is approximately 45000 sq. ft., will include sales, engineering, service, final assembly, and a customer training center. With a total size of 7.36 acres, the entire site offers plenty of room for future growth. Besides it’s Charlotte, NC, location, Schubert also serves its North American customers with an additional company site close to Toronto, in Mississauga, Ontario. “We owe this success to our customers, and that is why we are going to celebrate together with our customers during Pack Expo Las Vegas” explains Hartmut Siegel, Chief Executive Officer at Schubert North America. “All customers, suppliers, partners and friends of Schubert North America are invited to toast together with us to our success and to our future expansion plans for North America”. Schubert North America has 57 employees and more than 350 installed packaging machines at North American FCMG Manufacturers.

Gerhard Schubert GmbH at the Fachpack 2024 trade fair in Nuremberg

With the new EU Packaging & Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR) along with increasing demands for climate protection across the board, the packaging industry will have more than enough to discuss at this year’s Fachpack.‘Transition in Packaging’ is the event’s fitting motto from 24 to 26 September 2024 in Nuremberg. Visitors to the fair will have an opportunity to find out about the full range of sustainable, cost-effective solutions that Schubert, the packaging machine manufacturer from Crailsheim, has developed for consumer goods manufacturers at Stand 244 in Hall 1. As an example for the new ‘Power Compact’ machine concept – high output in the smallest space with lean yet high-quality technology – a bar packer with a single-lane erector and feeding via the Comfort Feeder will be in operation at the stand. The Schubert experts will also be demonstrating how further sustainability potential through the interaction between packaging and machine technology can be harnessed.

Schubert at Automation UK 2024

Last year, Automation UK took place for the first time in Coventry, England. As a result of its resounding success, the trade fair for automation and robotics is now entering its second round – and will be taking place this year on 18 and 19 June. Schubert UK Ltd will, of course, be participating once again. Schubert’s UK sales location was not only an exhibitor last year, but it is also a co-founder of Automation UK. In the CBS Arena at Stand F10, the British team, led by Mark Stepney, will be providing information on the Germany-based company’s latest highly flexible, efficient, and resource-saving solutions for packaging products of all kinds and from all sectors. This year, visitors to the Schubert stand will have an opportunity to view a tog.519 cobot live and in action. At Automation UK, the mobile robot will be demonstrating how it can pick & place unsorted products at speeds of up to 90 cycles per minute using the AI-supported vision system.
