Family-Friendliness with a Future – Schubert KinderCampus Receives the 2025 Business Award

Gerhard Schubert GmbH was awarded the 2025 Crailsheim Business Award in the “Special Award of the Year” category.

The Schubert KinderCampus has created a place that supports families, gives children room to grow, and sends a strong message of social responsibility.

Award for a passion project

A place for children. A source of relief for families. And a project that is particularly close to our hearts as a company: For the Schubert KinderCampus, we were honored with the 2025 Crailsheim Business Award in the “Special Award of the Year” category.

The awards ceremony took place right here at our Crailsheim location. Mayor Dr. Christoph Grimmer, along with representatives from the city, presented the award to our company. We were honored to accept the award together with our employees, project partners, and other stakeholders.

More Than Just a Childcare Service

With the Schubert KinderCampus, we have created a place where children can play, learn, discover, and grow. In collaboration with littlebigFuture GmbH, we transformed the former saddlery into a modern educational facility with space for more than 60 children in mixed-age groups.

It was particularly important to us to create an environment where children feel comfortable and can develop at their own pace. This includes the spacious outdoor area with direct access to nature, which makes the KinderCampus a special place.

Better Balancing Family and Work

Balancing family and work plays a central role for many families. With the KinderCampus, we want to provide concrete support in this area and ease the burden on families in their daily lives.

From the very beginning, it was important to us to make this program accessible not only to our employees but also to families in Crailsheim. In this way, we want to contribute to the region while also demonstrating our close ties to the community.

“The KinderCampus is truly a labor of love for us,” Gerald Schubert emphasized at the award ceremony. “The idea of creating a dedicated space for children has been with our family for many years. It’s all the more wonderful that this has now become a place that supports families and gives children room to grow.”

A joint project

To bring the project to life, the former saddlery was extensively renovated and redesigned. The KinderCampus was made possible by the dedication of many people involved—from project partners and craft businesses to employees who supported the project from the very beginning.

For us, receiving the Crailsheim Business Award therefore represents more than just recognition for a building or a concept. Above all, it is an acknowledgment of the idea behind it: taking responsibility and actively shaping the future.

As a family-run business, this has been an integral part of our identity for many years—for our employees, for families, and for the Crailsheim region.
