Schubert North America Enhances Customer Support with State-of-the-Art Facilities

Spanning approximately 4,200 square meters, Schubert North America offers state-of-the-art facilities for assembly, commissioning, training, and technical service

Schubert North America is embarking on a new chapter in Charlotte, North Carolina: A modern corporate headquarters will serve as a hub for sales, engineering, service, customer training, and the final assembly of packaging machines. With this new facility, the company aims to strengthen customer loyalty and drive growth in the United States and Canada.

With a total area of approximately 4,200 square meters, the new headquarters offers ample space for this purpose: In addition to the final acceptance testing of packaging machines, the Charlotte facility will also provide operator training and service support. For North American and Canadian customers, this means fewer trips to Crailsheim—thanks to more intensive on-site support.

The investment underscores Schubert’s long-term commitment to local users of top-loading packaging machines “made in Crailsheim.” “North America remains one of the most important growth markets for Schubert,” emphasizes Hartmut Siegel, Managing Director of Schubert North America. “With our new building at our headquarters in Charlotte, we can work much more closely with our customers. At the same time, we are significantly expanding our capacities for assembly, commissioning, service, and training.”

Focus on Sustainability

In addition to Schubert’s “Mission Blue” sustainability initiative, LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) standards also played a role in the design of the new building: An energy-efficient design and a modern, collaboration-oriented work environment reflect the company’s high environmental and social standards.

In addition to spacious office areas, the new building houses the final assembly and commissioning facilities for Schubert packaging machines, the company’s own service workshop, and training rooms for customers. It also accommodates departments for engineering, sales, and technical support. A company site spanning approximately three hectares provides the foundation for future expansions.

Strong local presence

Since establishing its North American headquarters in Charlotte in 2015, Schubert has experienced steady growth in North America: Demand for flexible, intelligent solutions for packaging automation remains consistently high across the Atlantic. The new facility therefore marks a milestone in Schubert’s more than 28-year presence in the U.S.: “The Charlotte facility is more than just a new building—it represents Schubert’s commitment to strengthening innovation, customer business, and the future of packaging automation in North America,” said Siegel.

To mark this significant milestone, Schubert North America is planning a grand opening ceremony for early spring 2027 with customers, partners, local dignitaries, and industry representatives. During a guided tour, the company will provide insights into the new facility and technological developments in packaging machinery.

60 Years of Schubert – An Anniversary Full of „verPackende Momente“

It was an evening that will be remembered for a long time to come. Together with over 3,000 guests, we celebrated the 60th anniversary of Gerhard Schubert GmbH. Employees, their guests, business partners, and friends of our company came together to celebrate six decades of Schubert. And even though the thermometer showed summer-like highs, the atmosphere was excellent throughout the evening.

Our anniversary festival was under the motto „verPackende Momente“ (gripping moments) — and that’s exactly what this evening delivered. All over the company grounds, people were laughing, dancing, toasting, and celebrating together. The enthusiasm was palpable and made the anniversary a special experience for all generations.
