Schubert expertise live: Flexible packaging solutions for food manufacturers

Packaging machine manufacturer Schubert will once again be showcasing its latest developments in the packaging industry live for the first time at the 2021 CFIA (Carrefour des fournisseurs de l’industrie agroalimentaire) at Parc Expo Rennes Aéroport. Interested trade fair partcipants can visit the exhibition stand in Hall 10A from 9 to 11 June 2021 to find out in person about the highly flexible packaging machines and high-performance robot technology from the renowned market leader. Using specific customer examples, the French Schubert team will explain efficient and future-proof packaging solutions for the food industry.

The sealing technology in the Schubert Flowpacker can be converted from conventional laminated films to sustainable mono films and even paper-based films – without requiring any major effort.

After a year and a half, packaging expert Schubert is delighted to finally be able to meet with its customers, interested parties and friends again at a live trade fair – in compliance with currently applicable hygiene regulations, of course. At the information stand, the Schubert team from the French subsidiary in Compiègne, led by Charles-Antoine Freiher, will be advising companies from the entire food sector. The focus will be on optimising packaging processes in terms of efficiency, quality and sustainability – for products ranging from dairy to confectionery and baked goods to all other types of food.

The preconfigured lightline cartonpacker enables final packaging processes in the smallest possible space and at comparatively low cost.

Decisive advantages through flexible technology

Manufacturers can secure decisive advantages in the fiercely competitive consumer market thanks to the extraordinary flexibility of Schubert packaging technology and the innovation driver’s decades of wide-ranging expertise. The ability to switch from conventional to recyclable packaging materials such as cardboard, mono film or paper-based variants within the same line is of particular interest to the industry. Schubert’s packaging development team also provides support with the design of sustainable and cost-efficient new cardboard packaging concepts

With the various Scara or Delta robots from Schubert, each pick & place system can be individually tailored to the customer’s specific requirements.

Pick & place for any product consistency

Three packaging processes, for which the exhibition team will be presenting product samples from projects already completed, are prime examples of the diversity of Schubert technology. Pick & place solutions, for example, are a common requirement in the confectionery sector. Using scalable robot technology, the Schubert systems process virtually all conceivable products of the most varied consistencies in cardboard or plastic trays or cartons – both unpackaged and packaged goods. Schubert image processing takes over quality control and ensures a high level of process reliability. With the various Scara or Delta robots, each system can be individually tailored to specific customer needs.

Well-known brands such as Ferrero, Nestlé, Unilever, Mondelez and Roche rely equally on automation solutions from Schubert as do numerous small, medium-sized and family-run companies.

Sustainable packaging materials in use

For packaging into flowpacks, Schubert combines efficient pick & place technology with a Flowmodul integrated into the line. The result is an exceptionally space-saving flow-wrapping machine which is highly flexible and can be adapted very quickly to different products, formats and packaging materials. This is because the sealing technology in the Flowpacker can also be converted from conventional laminated films to sustainable mono films and even sensitive paper-based films – without requiring any major effort. Such a system is already in operation at a French pastry manufacturer’s production site.

The lightline cartonpacker can also be delivered very quickly, is extremely compact, easy to handle and yet equipped with the high-quality Schubert technology fans and users have come to expect. With the preconfigured packaging machine, food manufacturers can implement their final packaging processes in the smallest possible space and at comparatively low cost.
