Schubert has once again been certified as a “Great Place to Work”!

What makes Schubert a great place to work? The latest Great Place to Work survey provides a clear answer: strong collaboration, open feedback, tangible growth, and a work environment that offers security and a promising future. It makes it clear why the best seal of approval doesn’t come from outside, but from within the team.

Certification That Comes from Within

Gerhard Schubert GmbH has once again been certified as a “Great Place to Work.” This marks the second consecutive year that the Crailsheim-based family-owned company has received this award, which is based on feedback from its own employees.

Great Place to Work is an internationally recognized institute that supports companies in analyzing and further developing their workplace culture. At the heart of the process is a confidential employee survey. It reveals how employees experience their work environment. Among other things, it assesses trust, collaboration, leadership, fairness, team spirit, and identification with the company.

For Schubert, the certification is therefore more than just a seal of approval. It is valuable feedback from within the company. It shows where Schubert stands today and where further development is possible.

A strong result with high participation

The latest survey was conducted for the third time in collaboration with Great Place to Work. 74 percent of employees participated. That’s two percentage points more than in the last survey. This high participation rate means a lot to us. Those who take the time to provide feedback are showing interest—in their own work, in the team, and in the company’s future.

The results have also shown a positive trend. Overall satisfaction stands at 76 percent, which is eight percentage points higher than the previous figure. The survey’s central question is particularly telling: “All in all, I can say that this is a very good place to work.” 86 percent of participants agree with this statement. That represents an increase of ten percentage points.

Strong collaboration and a reliable environment

The trend in teamwork is particularly positive. 71 percent of participants say that at Schubert, people collaborate well across departmental and team boundaries. That’s an increase of 18 percentage points compared to the last survey. This collaboration is crucial for Schubert. After all, our machines, projects, and services are the result of the interaction of many people: in development, assembly, production, service, administration, and in direct communication with our customers.

Open and honest feedback is also increasingly seen as a natural part of the job. 78 percent of employees agree with this statement. This trend is supported by training programs and initiatives for our managers. Among other things, these focus on providing guidance, conducting constructive conversations, fostering a sense of responsibility, and actively integrating feedback into daily work routines.

For us, being a strong employer also means providing reliable working conditions. These include social benefits, programs to support work-life balance, and measures that provide long-term security. One example is our new company daycare center in Crailsheim. It eases the burden on families in their daily lives and demonstrates how important our responsibility toward our employees is to us. This sends an important message, especially given the current economic situation.

A result that both confirms and compels

For Schubert, this renewed Great Place to Work certification is a validation. It shows that many employees view the company’s culture positively. But it also shows that employer attractiveness is not a static state. That’s why the results aren’t just numbers on paper. They’re discussed in each department. This allows teams to take a closer look at what’s going well and where specific improvements are possible.

For us, one thing is clear: A good work environment isn’t created by a certification. It’s built every day—through collaboration, through trust, through good leadership, through open dialogue, and through people who take responsibility together.

We’re proud that our employees have once again recognized us as a Great Place to Work. And it motivates us to continue on this path.
